Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living
(AHCA/NCAL) as recipients of the AHCA/NCAL Bronze and Silver
Quality Awards this year. To be selected for one of the
independently judged awards, nursing homes must show an
extraordinary ongoing commitment to quality care for their
residents, as measured against specific criteria.

- Seniors, Staff and Family Members Walked More than 23,816 miles During Aegis Therapies’ First Nationwide Walk Your Age Events

Delafield, Wisconsin, October 5, 2009 — To celebrate
Active Aging Week© September 21-27, Aegis Therapies hosted
their first ever Walk Your Age event on Monday, September 21. With
over 550 participating facilities, the event was a huge success.
Close to twenty thousand participants walked an astounding 50
million steps or 23,816 miles. The nationwide series of events were
held in conjunction with Golden LivingCenters and other nursing
homes and assisted living facilities serviced by Aegis
Therapies.

LivingCenter - Milbank in Milbank, South Dakota, was recently named
the Administrator of the Year by the South Dakota Health Care
Association. Kathy has been with Golden Living since 2006 when it
acquires Beverly Enterprises, Inc., and for 22 years prior to that
with Beverly Enterprieses, Inc. She has served as the
Executive Director at Milbank for the past 11 years.
